Her connection to agriculture began long before she became an Agricultural Engineer. From an early age, she developed a deep appreciation for nature and for the vital role agriculture plays in people's lives. This passion led her to study Agricultural Production Systems Engineering at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala, convinced that knowledge could be a powerful tool for building more responsible, efficient, and resilient production systems.

Over time, she realized that her true vocation was not only about crops, but also about the people who make agriculture possible. Farmers, technicians, and producers face challenges every day and are constantly searching for practical solutions to move forward. It was through working alongside them that Katherine found her professional purpose: supporting those who work the land, helping them improve their results while strengthening the sustainability of their farming systems. Listening, trust, and close collaboration became fundamental pillars of her approach.

Throughout her career, she has developed expertise in crop nutrition and protection, technical advisory services, and environmental management. Her experience in the environmental field broadened her perspective on the relationship between agriculture and sustainability, reinforcing her belief that the future of the sector depends on our ability to produce efficiently while safeguarding the natural resources on which we all depend.
